Frequently Asked Questions

Does Historic Ridgewood have an HOA and if so, what do I get with my dues?

All HR homeowners are asked to join the Association and become active in keeping Ridgewood a great neighborhood. Annual dues are $100, which is collected in January. Pro-rated dues will be requested for new residents who move to the neighborhood in July or later.

The Association focuses on the general welfare and maintaining the property values within Historic Ridgewood:

1. Historic preservation
2. Security and general safety
3. Social neighborhood events
4. Beautification

Board members are elected each year at the March annual meeting and we depend heavily on our residents to volunteer as Board and committee members.

The Association offers the following services:

  • Publish three newsletters per year along with an annual directory of residents
  • Maintain a list of craftspeople recommended by HR residents
  • Maintain Historic Ridgewood website
  • Liaison with the City of Canton for security
  • Discounted leaf pick up
  • Sidewalk repair program in conjunction with the city of Canton
  • Zoning and code changes
  • Social activities, such as Wine with Your Neighbors, Halloween party, Holiday Sleigh Ride, Neighborhood Attic Sale, and special neighborhood events
  • Develop and review on-going beautification efforts
  • Welcoming new neighbors
  • Maintain HR neighborhood limited historical documents

Please email our Restoration Resources board member, Jeff Abrams about Maintenance and Preservation questions.
